Model crush: Alex Lundqvist

The Swedish sensation exploded onto the modeling scene with the compelling blend of rugged good looks and winning personality. His versatility and professionalism combined with one of the best physiques in the business appealed to a whole range of clients, from Versace, Guess and Lagerfeld to Hugo Boss.

One of the first of the male supermodels of the 90's, Alex remains to this day, a fixture in an industry that remains loyal to those who can always deliver the "shot".

Born April 14, 1972, this Swedish stud began modeling in the summer of 1994. Tracked down by photographer Bruce Weber and Wilhelmina agent, Sean Patterson after they saw his photo in an unnoted publication, Lundqvist was soon put to work. Versace booked him for a worldwide campaign with Helena Christensen shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, Alex has worked with almost every top men's designer and brand in the world, definitely marking him as one of the original male supermodels.

He has appeared in magazines such as GQ, Playgirl, Elle, L'Uomo Vogue, Top Model and was interviewed on MTV's "House of Style" with his best friend and fellow model Mark Vanderloo.

He was chosen for the 1995 Guess campaign with Laetitia Casta and Valeria Mazza. He is signed to Wilhelmina Models in New York City.

Currently he has been spotted as being Fergie's boyfriend in Fergie's new video, "Clumsy." He speaks fluent English, Swedish and German and a bit of Italian and French.
