Fashion inspiration: Jessica Szohr

Jessica Karen Szohr (born March 31, 1985) is an American actress. Szohr began her screen career starring on television shows such as CSI: Miami and What About Brian. She gained recognition in 2007 with her breakthrough role as Vanessa Abrams on The CW series Gossip Girl. She most recently appeared in the 2010 horror film Piranha 3D and in 2011 comedy I Don't Know How She Does It.

Szohr is of Hungarian, one quarter English, and her maternal grandmother is African-American. She was born in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, a place she describes as a "family-oriented small town". The oldest of five children, Szohr played soccer, served on the student council, and was part of the cheerleading squad while in school. She started a cleaning company with a friend, cleaning their teachers’ houses.

Jessica started modeling at age six. Her first national campaign was for Quaker Oats at age ten, and she also appeared in print ads for Kohl's department store. Subsequent modelling gigs followed, including prints for Crate & Barrel, Mountain Dew, Sears, Jockey and JanSport. Szohr graduated from Menomonee Falls High School a semester early and moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career. She told Seventeen magazine that she "almost moved home like five times."

With her gorgeous looks and downtown style, Jessica Szohr has wooed both Nate Archibald and Dan Humphrey as Vanessa Abrams on Gossip Girl. But it's her real life romance with costar Ed Westwick that has Gossip lovers captivated.

So who made Jessica's style icon list? Jessica says, "I like Kate Moss, I like Michelle Williams. For red carpet stuff, I think Cameron Diaz looks amazing head to toe." These actresses may not seem to have much in common style wise, but according to Jessica it's their ability to personalize a look that sets them apart from the pack. Jessica says, "I feel like everytime I see what Michelle Williams has on, it looks effortless, but not like she was just 'oh i'm just going to throw this on,' but where she's not styled from head to toe. I don't like it when people are trendy from head to toe." (www.stylebistro.com)

Fashion inspiration: Blake Lively

Blake Lively (born August 25, 1987) is an American actress and model who appears as Serena van der Woodsen in the television teen drama series Gossip Girl. She has also appeared in movies, including Accepted, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Town, Green Lantern, and Savages.

Marked by a style that can at once be described as sexy, bold, chic, and fashion forward, the main thing, which, more than anything, sets Blake apart is her ability to dress for her body. When Blake dresses up, she is all about the mantra “if you got em, flaunt em.” Blessed with long legs and big boobs (or perhaps blessed with a great plastic surgeon), Blake knows exactly what to wear to make her body look good. In fact, it is hard to find Blake in an outfit that doesn’t play up at least one of these body parts.

Blake’s style is all about balancing what is fashionable while flattering her figure. Even though Blake is tall and thin, you do not see her in every runway trend. The lesson learned is to know what looks good on your body and adapt the trends from there!

Blake Lively is stunning actress, she's always smiling and is in a good mood all night long. And, of course, Blake Lively is a great fashion inspiration for every trendsetter girl!

Fashion inspiration: Leighton Meester

Leighton Marissa Meester (born April 9, 1986) is an American actress and singer. Meester first garnered attention and critical acclaim for playing Blair Waldorf in the CW's teen drama television series Gossip Girl. She has also appeared in the 2010 country drama film Country Strong, the 2011 thriller The Roommate, the 2011 romantic comedy Monte Carlo, and the 2012 comedy That's My Boy.

One of the most dynamic aspects of Meester's magnificent mix is the way she combines her unabashedly glamorous sense of style with seriously edgy footwear. She clearly loves a body-con mini and heavy-duty heel, a combo that is seasonally appropriate for spring, as warm weather means flirty frocks and lots of leg! For example, en route to a performance in Las Vegas (that's right, this triple threat can act, sing, and look impossibly chic all the while), Meester opted for Herve Leger by Max Azria's Boat Neck Batik Dress ($1850) with Givenchy heels and Cathy Waterman jewels.

Of course pale and printed pieces aren't the only wardrobe looks in Meester's wheelhouse: she also dresses to kill when she wears somber-hued sultry styles. Out on the town in December, the daring dresser looked seriously chic when she opted for Mark Fast's Pintuck Halterneck Dress ($2417).

Meester smartly ramped up the sex-appeal of her apparel with smoky eyes and bold lips—so be sure to keep that in mind while mimicking Meester's marvelous maquillage.

Finally, because a trendsetter should always have at least one knockout off-duty look in her arsenal, we have a more casual ensemble, which affirms that Meester always plays to win. Leighton Meester is a great fashion inspiration for every trendsetter girl!
