Fashion inspiration: Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993), known professionally as Ariana Grande, is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She made her performance debut on Broadway at age 15, originating the role of Charlotte in 13 in 2008. Recently, she has gained attention for her role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, which she will reprise in Sam & Cat, a spinoff of iCarly and Victorious.

Grande was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She is of Italian descent, half Sicilian, half Abruzzese. Grande's parents are Joan Grande and Edward Butera, a graphic designer. She has an older brother, Frankie Grande, who is a performer and producer. He also was one of Grande's backup dancers on her first tour. Grande sang as a soloist in various symphonies, such as South Florida’s Philharmonic, Pops and Symphonia Orchestras. She has sung various times in NYC's Birdland and sang the National Anthem on the first live broadcast of the Florida Panther’s hockey league.

In 2010, she created the original role of Miriam in the reading of the new musical, Cuba Libre, written and produced by Desmond Child.

Grande is working on her first studio album, Daydreamin', which is due for release in early 2013. Grande commented on the album saying: "They can expect a lot of honesty. It's like a direct... you know, it's like it used to be pages from my diary, instead of keeping diary, I would write songs about what was happening in my life. So it's really personal. It's a Motown throwback and pop at the same time, so it's '50s and '60s inspiration mixed with today." The album was inspired by artists like Amy Winehouse, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Katy Perry, Madonna and other like these. Grande worked with artists like Sky Blue from LMFAO, 3OH!3, Kool Kojak, and Pebe Sebert on the album. She was also working in the studio with Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas. It was stated by Grande in an interview that the second single from her debut album would be released around Valentine's Day of 2013.

At the age of 10, Grande co-founded the youth singing group, Kids Who Care, in South Florida, which performed for charitable fund-raising events, raising over $500,000 for charities in 2007 alone. In the summer of 2009, as a member of the charitable organization, Broadway in South Africa, Grande performed and taught music and dance to children in Gugulethu, South Africa along with her brother Frankie. Grande is also partnering with Kleenex on its "Shield Sneeze Swish" campaign. Ariana Grande also performs at the DVD release concert of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked in Los Angeles.

In 2012, Grande began dating Jai Brooks, a member of the Australian YouTube group The Janoskians. They had a long distance relationship until December 2012, when they met for the first time in New York City.

Ariana's fashion style is really girly and simply cute. This girl always smiles and "shines like a diamond" as Rihanna would probably say :) Ariana look adorable no matter where she go!

Fashion inspiration: Jessica Szohr

Jessica Karen Szohr (born March 31, 1985) is an American actress. Szohr began her screen career starring on television shows such as CSI: Miami and What About Brian. She gained recognition in 2007 with her breakthrough role as Vanessa Abrams on The CW series Gossip Girl. She most recently appeared in the 2010 horror film Piranha 3D and in 2011 comedy I Don't Know How She Does It.

Szohr is of Hungarian, one quarter English, and her maternal grandmother is African-American. She was born in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, a place she describes as a "family-oriented small town". The oldest of five children, Szohr played soccer, served on the student council, and was part of the cheerleading squad while in school. She started a cleaning company with a friend, cleaning their teachers’ houses.

Jessica started modeling at age six. Her first national campaign was for Quaker Oats at age ten, and she also appeared in print ads for Kohl's department store. Subsequent modelling gigs followed, including prints for Crate & Barrel, Mountain Dew, Sears, Jockey and JanSport. Szohr graduated from Menomonee Falls High School a semester early and moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career. She told Seventeen magazine that she "almost moved home like five times."

With her gorgeous looks and downtown style, Jessica Szohr has wooed both Nate Archibald and Dan Humphrey as Vanessa Abrams on Gossip Girl. But it's her real life romance with costar Ed Westwick that has Gossip lovers captivated.

So who made Jessica's style icon list? Jessica says, "I like Kate Moss, I like Michelle Williams. For red carpet stuff, I think Cameron Diaz looks amazing head to toe." These actresses may not seem to have much in common style wise, but according to Jessica it's their ability to personalize a look that sets them apart from the pack. Jessica says, "I feel like everytime I see what Michelle Williams has on, it looks effortless, but not like she was just 'oh i'm just going to throw this on,' but where she's not styled from head to toe. I don't like it when people are trendy from head to toe." (www.stylebistro.com)
